New Franklin, Missouri Thousands of festival visitors each year enjoy samples of roasted chestnuts. Hosted by the MU Horticulture & Agroforestry Research Center, the event is an opportunity to introduce landowners to the benefits of implementing agroforestry practices on their land. There are cooking demonstrations, musical entertainment and chestnut products available to buy.
