"The individual’s network of rhizomorphs presently weights roughly 11 tons, or roughly 600 pounds per acre. It occupies 37 acres. In addition, it takes 10 pounds of phyphae (microscopic branching thread fungus filaments) to support one pound of rhizomorphs.
